Lion Golf Junior Tour: Earn your way into competition through our Junior Player Pathway
Weekly Junior Golf Tournaments
Weekly Junior Golf Tournaments
At Lion Golf Academy, our junior tournaments are more than competition — they are the final step in our Junior Player Pathway. To qualify, students must first complete our On-Course Transition Class, where they learn etiquette, pace of play, scoring, and how to take their skills from the range to the course.
What Makes Our Tour Different
- Prerequisite Training: Students are required to complete the On-Course Transition Class before tournament invitations are extended. This ensures readiness in both skill and maturity.
- 3-Month Limit: The On-Course Transition Class is a maximum 3-month program. Once a coach determines readiness, students are promoted into the Tournament Tour. If a family chooses not to pursue tournaments, the student will be transitioned out of the on-course program to open space for others.
- Limited Spots: The On-Course Transition Class is capped at 16 students to maintain quality instruction and fairness.
- Invite-Only Advancement: Juniors must earn achievement stamps and coach approval before entering the tournament series.
- Real Tournament Experience: Players keep score, manage pace of play, navigate rules situations, and build confidence under competition.
- Points & Recognition: Weekly performance earns points toward seasonal leaderboards. Top players advance to sectional cup finals, where LA and San Diego juniors compete in our exclusive Lion Golf Cup.
- Development for the Future: This league serves as a stepping stone to AJGA and SCPGA events, and many of our past students credit it as key preparation for college-level opportunities.
